Stage 01 of 07

Requirement Understanding & Technical Feasibility

Comprehensive evaluation of client architectural schematics, electrical single line diagrams (SLD), internal switchgear layouts, and environmental specifications (indoor/outdoor, ambient temperature, corrosive exposure).

Quality & Engineering Checkpoints:

  • BOM & Dimensional Drawing Review
  • Ingress Protection (IP55/IP65) Definition
  • Thermal Load & Cable Entry Planning
  • Custom Mounting & Plinth Sizing

Detailed Breakdown

The Complete Workflow Breakdown

Transparent engineering at every stage from raw sheet metal to final installation site delivery.

01
Phase 1

Requirement Understanding

Engineering consultation assessing electrical component bill of materials (BOM), internal heat dissipation, cable entry preferences (top or bottom gland plates), busbar pathways, and target ingress protection levels (IP55/IP65).

02
Phase 2

Design & Engineering

Conversion of client schematics into complete 3D CAD sheet metal models in SolidWorks. Bend deduction calibrations, automated sheet flat pattern unfolding, and customer general arrangement (GA) drawing approval prior to laser toolpath release.

03
Phase 3

Material Planning

Procurement and inspection of certified prime Cold Rolled Close Annealed (CRCA), Galvanized Iron (GI), or Stainless Steel (SS304/SS316). Thickness calibration (1.6mm to 3.0mm) and surface flatness verification ensure ideal structural integrity.

04
Phase 4

Fabrication: CNC Laser & Bending

High-precision CNC fiber laser cutting profiles cutouts, gland openings, and louvers with nitrogen assist. Multi-axis CNC hydraulic press brakes then fold sheet components with computerized angle compensation and uniform return flanges.

05
Phase 5

Assembly / Finishing

Structural welding using inert gas MIG/TIG processes, capacitor discharge earthing stud welds, flush weld seam grinding, deburring, and continuous formed PU foamed gasketing for verified ingress protection.

06
Phase 6

Quality Inspection

Stringent QA verification auditing internal dimensions against signed-off GA drawings, diagonal squareness tolerances, door swing deflection, lock engagement smoothness, and earthing continuity.

07
Phase 7

Final Delivery

Protective corner shielding, heavy-duty stretch film wrap, and palletized dispatch packaging ensure zero transit damage and prompt delivery to client sites across Maharashtra and pan-India.

Manufacturing Workflow FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Understanding our stage-wise fabrication, quality control checkpoints, and dispatch packaging.

What quality checks occur during the 7-stage manufacturing process?

Quality checks take place at every milestone: Stage 1 CAD design validation, Stage 2 laser blank inspection, Stage 3 bend angle & flange audit, Stage 4 weld penetration & diagonal squareness check, Stage 5 door closure and gasket compression test, and Stage 6 pre-dispatch audit.

How does SKS prepare fabricated enclosures for safe shipping?

Finished enclosures are fitted with corner edge protectors, industrial stretch wrapped, and secured onto wooden pallets or crating to prevent transit abrasion or distortion across transit routes in India.
